Carrefour - Noir Amande Chocolat noir aux amandes entières
Finally found a dark chocolate that I like. 54% Cacao. Only QR 6.75 ($2.40 AUD) for 200 grams. It is all written in French -it has amandes entières Ðæ Úíäíä ÖíÞÊíä ÈíÖÇæíÊíä ßÇãáÉ. (for those who can't read Arabic or French - almonds whole)
Also found a soft drink or fizzy drink (I hate that add where the kids asks his mum "can I have a fizzy drink - please mum?") I know what I would give him but may be I live in the past a bit.
It is called Zesto Root Beer - tastes almost like the sarsaparilla I am used to. I am still looking for a decent ginger beer. I might ask them ti import some Bundaberg Ginger beer.
Tried the French Beaujolais: It was okay - a light tasting, pinky red coloured wine. I have no idea if it is a decent Beaujolais - a bit light compared to the Aussie shiraz's I am used to. I would drink it if it was there - wouldn't go out of my way to have another one though. I probably need to get more class.
I also tried the French sauvignon blanc - Kiwis win gold again. This wine was a reasonable dry white - nothing like the Kiwi sauvignon blancs I am used to - no fruity flavours of gooseberries, fruit salad, melon and all those other things you are supposed to taste.
The label says pale yellow with tropical fruit aromas round in the mouth with a fresh fruit finish. I read this after I wrote my comment - obviously we have different palates.
Oh Yeah - by the way they take public drunkenness serious here.
I do not drink alcohol in public anymore!!!!!
