Leaving Saigon, leaving Vietnam pretty fast, was probably to fast. I'm sure there were things I'd have liked to see or have done. But oh well, the whole crossing the border process by boat was actually an awesome idea. Meeting a bunch of travellers relaxing on a boat in the sun by playing some tunes on my guitar.

- Ben (Aussie) [we decided to change places, since I am probably an Australian mind in a German body and he is a German mind in an Australian body]

- Adam (Daniel Bruehl) (New Hamshire) [he really looked like the actor, I need to get a pic uploaded!!]

- Frank (Tennessee) [thanks for the poetik inspiration! And you're right, change is the only constant.]

What more can you ask for?

Oh, I know maybe for some more coconutcandy.

They shipped us to a little village in the middle of the river and they produced the best coconut candy ever. We were able to try it while it was still warm. It just melts on your toungh and you think you are in heaven. I guess there wasn't a single tourist who didn't buy a bar and that is really rare!

Travelinfo: You have to try the coconut candy!!!

Crossing into Cambodia was quite different. I just saw kids. Kids doing the paperwork, Kids serving you food, Kids begging you to buy fruits. The history of Cambodia is on of the most disturbing things I did not know about until I came here.

Historylesson:

When Cambodia was under the dictatorship of Pol Pot the Khemer Roughe government called out the 'year zero' in 1975. By doing so they killed about 1/3 of the population within 4 years. Artists, old people, everybody who was in the slightest way related to the former government and people who were well educated. It's like reseting Sim City. By going back to the stoneage they were trying to delete their former culture and start over without any distruction and knowledge from outside the country. Isn't that crazy, a country that now is ruled mostly by kids and the West doesn't even mention it in any school history lesson.
