Standing trainride to Xiangfan
Entry 33 of 117 | show all | print this entry |
I knew there had to be something wrong, everything worked out just too perfect. My dear waiban really forgot to give me that soooo important recommondation letter. This is so rediculous, I've been talking about this for about two month now. And I told him the day I was about to leave, I have to have this paper in two hours. I thought that was clear enough, well we did not meet again and then I forgot about it over all the packing hussle. The moment I realized this, I just started laughing. I saw something like this coming, I really knew it. So much for working out important things in China. So let's see if I can come back, maybe Jeremy can still pick it up. Yahoo, we got hard sleepers! I was so excited to be able to finally sleep a bit until I found out that the speaker of this train was right above my head. Men this woman had a high pitched voice over the microphone and the short moments she would shut up you had to listen to that totally anoying cheese chinese music. No wonder it was around 9 a.m., people were about to wake up and they did not know that we havn't had any sleep at all the last night. So we tried to sleep a little and then just stayed up, ate as much food as we could to loose balast and climed up to the top into our beds. I figured I was too tall again for chinese train structures, you couldn't sit up straight, we were just able to crawl in there. Janice was so afraid of the hight at the beginning so I told her to imagine beeing a monkey. It worked she could do it easily after the first time ;o) So from 6.00 p.m. to 9.00 a.m. we just slept through. I was so tiered I didn't even her the lady in the speaker anymore.
