The best compliment I got so far was: "You got her nailed." Thanks, that's finally something I can be proud of. Since I think you can't be proud of being called pretty, that happens here all the time anyway to every foreigner and we didn't do anything for it, it just happened to be that way that we obviously look different.

So maybe I finally found something I might be good at - Menschenkenntnis.

It really feels good talking to my room/housemates. These talks go deep down under and they'll make you think, wonder and laugh at the same time. I'm glad I met people I can have such interesting conversations with. Pals like them are hard to find even if it's your native country you are searching them in. We match somehow, that's at least what I think. Which I would call luck and that leads me directly to my chines name.

Yvonne stands for a pretty lucky girl - jene Dame mit Glueck. And even in a name book I looked the french meaning up and it meant something with luck again. So in fact I would call it, "mehr Glueck als Verstand" - which is true I got more luck than brains. ;o)

Besides that it meant "young archer", which is kind of amazing, since my horoscope is 'Schuetze'(15.12.82) My probably never really thought about this but somehow got the instinct. And even without knowing that, if somebody would ask me to choose a weapon it would always be bow and arrow.

Another nice compliment I got by the way was from a student who sent me an e-mail, thanking me for the way I'm doing my lectures. Man man man, ich werde tatsaechlich fuer das Ausueben eines Jobs gelobt, den ich nie gelernt hab. Schon verrueckt!
