Help me Ronda!

All the guide books say "avoid the tight, narrow streets of Ronda town centre" - but as usual we took no notice! So there we were squeezing Daisy through the narrow streets trying to avoid the Christmas shoppers, signing along to the Christmas songs being piped onto the streets and ignoring the funny looks from the Spanish! However Ronda ended up being our favourite place in Spain up to now, it's a really scenic town split in half by a huge gorge connected by a massive old bridge. Houses and restaurants cling to the edge of the gorge and the whole place has a brilliant atmosphere and loads of character. Alfie loved it here too - he met his match in a 10 month old female boxer dog called Frankie, the two of them played for hours on the campsite. Again we met some great people and spent New Year's Eve going from campervan to campervan and sat up with Frankie's mum and dad until the early hours until some strange Spanish man ('death' as we called him) appeared out of shadows and told us we were being too noisy!
On New Year's Day we had our first real stress moment since leaving home. Sat on the loo at around midnight Rob shouts through the toilet door "Nic, why have you locked the van door?". I hadn't, but Alfie had - from the inside! He has a habit of jumping up to look through the side window when we leave him in the van and he must have caught the lock on the sliding door as he jumped back down again. We came very close to having to smash one of the windows, but thankfully with the help of Guy (Frankie's dad), some wire, a twig and a fly swatter we managed to lift the catch on the driver's side door as luckily the window was open a tiny bit!! This was mostly due to Rob's misspent youth and the fact he's from Hartlepool!!! We were just hoping that 'Death' wasn't watching from the shadows otherwise he would have thought we really were an odd bunch! Very stressful hour or so but we now have a spare key hidden strategically outside the van (any would be thieves - don't bother, you'll never find it!).
