Good old England!

It's good to be home - since arriving back 7 days ago we've had more warm sunshine than we've had for months in Europe. The crossing from Boulogne to Dover with Speed Ferries was very quick (about 40 minutes) and went without a hitch. We had a brilliant Easter weekend in Pevensey Bay just outside Eastbourne with my mum and dad, Rob managed getting his legs out again for the first time since we left southern Spain and we celebrated our return with our first BBQ of the year! Beachy Head is very impressive; we walked part way along the South Downs Way to the cliffs where apparently on average 12 people a year jump to their deaths - it's a hell of a drop and very sad seeing all the flowers on the cliff edge. We then had a couple of days in Brighton where it wasn't just the sausages on the BBQ that were sizzling - the temperature reached 80 degrees! We had planned to explore the New Forest and Dorset, but after four months of being on the road we are tired of moving from place to place (and besides the Cornish Pasties and Cream Teas were calling!) so we abandoned those plans and headed straight to Cornwall. We are staying at Headland Camping and Caravan Park in Tintagel on the north coast, which is beautiful, very rugged and dramatic (a bit like Rob!!-or should that be old and craggy!!!). So we're staying put for the next week to eat more pasties and cream teas and walk them off on the South West Coast Path which runs right past the campsite (it actually starts at Minehead and ends in Poole - 613 miles - so I don't think we'll be walking all of it!). Daisy is slightly poorly, her speedometer cable snapped on the way to Cornwall so she's booked into a garage next week to get it fixed - just in case she thinks she's back on the Grand Prix circuit in Monaco as we drive along the M6!
