I caught my BA flight back to Heathrow overnight.  It was a very good flight and I slept all the way home.

Getting back to London was a bit of a culture shock.  Having just spent the last month in the Borneo rain forest with little time in cities, it took me a while to get back into a different lifestyle.

Overall Comments from my trip:

Thailand Islands - a mixture of good and bad - I know which islands I would and would not wish to visit again.  Met some fantastic people along the way and stayed in some great places.

Borneo - absolutely wonderful - would go back there again in a flash!  wonderful people, scenery, natural beauty - a few reservations eg the amount of deforestation taking place and replacing the forests with palm oil trees.  Many unspoilt areas, where I did not see another white person - difficult to get to these place but well worth the effort.  Very sad to leave Sarawak.

People who enriched my trip:

In no particular order - Nigel Esorlin (who gave me the courage to "go it alone" in Borneo -
Maya - a wonderful lady in Kuching - Stephen in Koh Samui - Mrs Lee in Miri - Niamh and Gary, who I met in Koh Samui, Bindi (owner of B&B in Kuching) - Christian - Han Yong (who made copies of my pics) Tom and Monika - tom and Helena - Stephen and Tine in Bario - Hamdani in Belaga and all the other guides who showed me their countries - Phil, Andy, Jacques and Kim, Etta, Laura O'Donnell - apologies for anyone I have not included that should be here.

If anyone wants any advice or help if they intend to do a similar trip, I would be happy to share my experiences.
