After few days at home to prepare this trip, Adeline and I

take off for Costa Rica. Adeline has a hard time crossing borders without being

held by a zealous custom agent. But nothing can resist the discreet charm of

the French accent, nor her beautiful smile... We're in!

In the tropical area that is. Right away, the heat and the humidity remind us

where we are. San Jose being in altitude it's not quite as bad as I expected.

It might be different on the coast though.

Our taxi driver is preparing for the next formula one season. I can tell you,

he's ready. He set a new world record between the airport and our hotel. A nice

and charming little place with a strong flavor of old colonial time.

The first days are spent visiting the capital, San Jose. I gave Adeline her

first flying lesson in the museum of sciences after which we enjoy a cafe con

leche beside the national theater. There's a kind of nonchalance in the street

that I recognize to be from Latin countries. I like the place already.
