Our arrival in South Australia with nothing more important to report than a half hour time change. This tiny town has three large craters filled with water, the most impressive of which is Blue Lake - it's so known because in the summer months it reflects a deep blue colour which slowly through to winter turns grey. We saw it somewhere in between during our 4km tour around it.
Umpherston Sinkhole is the other attraction here, a pretty hole in the ground which was converted into a garden by some crazy Englishman during 1886. Now you walk down a spiral path into the centre. If only we'd come in the evening then we'd have seen a lot of possums hanging around here.
