Kassel, Deutchland!

Gutentag!
well, here we are in Germany, staying with my 2nd cousin Wolfram here in Kassel which is 1.5 hrs north of Frankfurt. We had a wonderful time in London, experienced the public transport system a few times - very exciting experience that was! We visited the Tower of London, went on a Jack the Ripper tour (very spooky too, but we had an excellent tour guide who knew a lot about the subject), and generally just toured around the city having fun! We parted company with Mum and Max yesterdaz.. ok, it's now time to tell zou I´m tzping ths ona German kezboard and some of the kezs are in odd places, bear with me.. we left Blacjkheath at 2.45am to be sure that we got to Heathrow with plentzy of time ... good thing we did too, as when we arrived there were queues a mile long, what a nightmare it was!!!! Finally got to check-in and put our luggage in, then yet another queue through customs. It was here yours truly realised that not only would she have to throw out the hairspray, mascara, and deodorant can, but also some very nice perfume I forgot I had in my bag. Bummer. Al had to ditch his camera lens cleaning fluid and his nasal spray. Arghghghg. oh well. Plane was delayed due to poor weather, but we made it to Frankfurt.. it was a lovely flight. Alan got the window seat, and I got to sit next to the world´s stinkiest man. He was GROSS. shudder. Wolfram was waiting for us at the airport and then he drove us to Kassel at German warp speed. I tried hard not to look at the speedo. Alan assures me that he only hit 160km/hr once or twice.. My Oma was waiting for us at his home, it was a very emotional reunion for us as I last saw her 18 years ago. We´ll definitely be coming back next year, and in the meanwhilst work hard on our practically non existent German!! Luckily for us, Woldram speaks pretty good english. We´re being treated like royalty - feel like Hansel and Gretel, sure they´re fattening us up on purpose for some reason. So much food.. and schnapps.. and cognac.. and beer.. oh mz!! well, this will have to do now i think. bis morgen.. mazbe!!! love to all!

Great to hear you've arrived in Germany and will probably never bitch about Al's driving again ... the Barton Hwy aint no Autobahn !
You have me laughing at the Hansel and Gretel thing ...just the mental picture is a crack up ! ...The plaits, the leather shorts and braces ! ..Ha Ha Ha Ha ....
All well back home ... the we gave Taff a brush yesterday, if a horse could melt, I am sur... show all
