The sights were unbelievable. Prague was like no other place that I had ever been. It had a completely different vibe than Italy. For starters, I found myself converting Euros to match their currency, Czech Crown. The pricing structure made the visit interesting all in itself. Also I found the people to be a tad more conservative and rather quiet when walking down the streets. Everyone was very kind, but very reserved. The cuisine alone made me fall in love with this location.
In search of learning more about Prague, I opted for a real tour of the city. This tour had an exciting start. Stories were told and I felt that I was able to learn a little more about the Czechs from their history. During a break, I had the opportunity to meet a woman traveling alone from Newcastle
The next day, I met up with my new friend from Newcastle for some coffee, grog, and pastries. We then continued touring the beautiful city.
As the night progressed, my friend invited me out to a jazz club that she had heard about earlier that day. The Florence for Fun group's itinerary included dining at a Mexican restaurant and then a Pub Crawl. Although we never actually made it to the jazz club, we did in fact get to tour the Prague Castle, walk across the Charles Bridge, visit the John Lennon Wall, and see the Dancing House. It was one of the most enjoyable trips I have had to date. The rest of my time there was spent touring various museums, churches, and people watching in a small park. Out of all of the things I did, the people watching ranked high on my list. It was so interesting to just sit and watch.
My time in Prague was exhilarating. Even though my trip had a rough start, the way things turned around made all the difference. The people I met along the way undoubtedly changed my experience. It was very memorable.
I'll update you soon,
