Start of 4 weeks on the road -first stop sydney

So me and sammy arrived in sydney at 7.30 saturday moring feeling discusting-12 hours on a bus does not make you feel pretty. We arrive at the hostel only to find that it didnt open for another hour, luckly there was a number which we phoned and we got let into the tv lounge to wait for claudia(had to get a sepate bus as ours was full) and for reseption to open. Final we checked in to our skanky room! it wasnt even clean, there were fag buts and empty cups everywhere!! anyway were only in sydney for 3 days so although we were all shattered we had to make the most of it so we showered and off we went! First stop sydney harbour bridge, we walked around the harbour to get up close and personal with the bridge, (see photos when they finally get uploaded to facebook) we then walked over to the sydney operah house, which is actually yellow and i didnt find it as imresive as i thought i would, i think its that its such an iconic image that i was expecting to be blowen away by it but nope! i felt nothing! im dead inside! (haha think ive caught too much sun and going gaga!) anyway we then met up with nicola and katy (two girls who shared the house i was in in sk kilda, katy is also joining me,sammy and claudia on the trip up the east coast) and went to china twon for you guessed it a chinease! As you walk down the street the waiters/waitresses are pushing flyers/menues into your face to try and get you to eat in there resturant we fianlly picked one and it was really nice thought the waitress was a bit rude but not too bad after we stuffed our faces we headed to the sydney sky tower, we were waiting untill dark so that we could see the city by night, its quite impressive.After the skytower we sayed by to nicola as katy was staying in our hostel.
Katy had a few issues with our hostel, first of all they said she couldnt be in the same room as us and then when she went back that night someone was already in her bed and then the night manager couldnt find a spare bed so me and katy had to share a single bed but it wasnt too bad, ive had worse!
The next day we acted like tourists and got the city sightseeing tour around Sydney, we stopped of in darling harbour and we also went to bondi beach which although its nice its little overrated. When we got back to the city me, sammy and claudia went to the ice bar on the harbour, luckly their photographic equipment was broken so we were alowed to take in our own cameras so sammy got alittle happy snappy!.
The following day was spent on Manly beach which i think was alot nicer than bondi-i even treated myself and bought a bikini! After a few hours of sunnying ourselve we headed back to the city and got ready to go out in the evening. We were all in the mood for pasta and it took us a while but eventually we found a nice little itlatain resturant and then went to an irish bar to say hi to some mates but it was riduclausly hot -i could feel the sweat as soon as i walked through the door! so after one drink we headed eles where and then back to thee skany hostel for a earlyish night!
The following day (6th) was our last in sydney as we were catching a 2pm bus to take us to bryon bay where we arrived at 4am! i didnt think the bus was as bad as the one from melbourne to sydney but it still wasnt brilliant. Once we arrived in bryon bay we didnt actually know which way to go to get to the hostel, we asked the bus driver and he pointed us in one direction but then we asked a local and they pointed us the otherway-we chosse to believ the locals and they were right we got to the hostel around 4.15am and we shown some benches which we could kip on till check in, We finally checked in around 12pm feeling very sleepy and dirty so we hit the showers and then went for a wonder around town, it was so hot and sticky it was almost unbarable.
