A retrospective update of me, Tom, Browny, and my first backpack (that subsequently travelled to Ghana, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and Ecuador before being stolen off the top of a dodgy bus that my brother was on in Ecuador... gutted!) inter-railing around Europe for a month.
Therefore a brief visit to Scotland to catch our cheapo flight, a whistle stop tour of Scandinavia (Tom's designated "area") through Gothenburg, Oslo, Malmo, and Copenhagen. Then the ferry to continental Europe, and city hopping Germany and Switzerland (my domain) through Hamburg, Cologne, Strasbourg (we'll pretend its Germany), Zurich, Lausanne, Geneva, and impromptu day trips to Montreaux and Bern. Finally, to appease Browny (:P), making our way up through France through Dijon, Lyon, and ultimately, la Paris, before yet another cheapo flight home to Liverpool.
What impressions can you make of Northern Europe in a month? Well, I shall attempt to find out... and vastly generalize my initial impressions from fleeting visits to a few cities to whole nations. Sounds fair enough!
Commencing the SVONE, the first grand adventure!
