Street Chess Game

Thought we'd make the most of our interrail pass with a day trip to Bern. The cobbled streets were lively, filled with shoppers and tourists alike.

Personally, we derived most entertainment chancing upon a street game of giant chess, which appeared to be somewhat of a spectator sport in Switzerland!

Over the turquoise river, we stopped at the bear pits to see them being fed Haribo by small children!

And so concludes a day in the Swiss capital...
Bern scores... 8/10. Great for a day trip. I'm sure we missed things though, so this could potentially be higher. Or indeed lower, who knows.
Best things: The colour of the water. And the giant chess game obviously - captivating.
Worst things: The bears/haribo incident.
Return Visit? I'd been here previously with my parents so technically it was. But a good one.
