Weekend Road Trippin' to the Coast - Kokrobite!

On the map this place is only a few odd miles away from Accra but the dodgy roads meant it took god knows how long to get here from Ho in our van. Despite the slightly unnerving episode of long prayers for our safety being said before departure, and the lack of a speedometer, and being stopped by "Border Control" in the middle of the country, we fought our way through the dust-storm of Accra and finally arrived at Big Milly's Backyard, hours ahead of the other group we were meeting, whose prayers evidently were not answered as their bus broke down.
This place was awesome, lovely huts set just back from the beach, and several hammocks dotted around. First night we all sat out on the beach, had a BBQ and watched a tribal African dance under the stars. Met this Rastafarian character who went by the name of Yellowman who invited us to come smoke some weed with him on the beach. Although I declined this invitation, I did return for a drum lesson with him the next day.

Breakfast was amazing, you literally went up to the beach, and one of the locals would climb a massive palm tree just to get you a mango for the Ghanaian equivalent of about 5p. Spent the day on the beach, swimming in the sea and putting drinks and food on our leaders tab... each person had tabs under their names, and all of us magically turned into John over the course of the weekend :D
Left on Sunday for the second week of coaching in Ho. Good times! Although perhaps not the transport...
