Welcome everyone!
Cath and I have decided the best way to stay in contact with everyone is maintaining an online diary... Hopefully regular entries will keep everyone informed, possibley entertained and likely jealous.
The tickets are booked and subject to some rather dodgy Russian customs official sending back our passports, we will be jetting off thursday the 5 July. The flight is with Tiger Airlines, and whilst not fancy, they're cheap! Who needs food or drink on a plane anyway?? Changing planes (and airports) in Singapore at 2.30am pwwwfft...no problem. 2.30am is supposeedly when people are at their most drowsy, its the time when people are most likely to die or be born.... its the time that I am most likely to be able to tell Cath about our plans for Laos and the "Gibbon experience" and convince her that rain, leeches, mud, mozies and monkeys are what travelling is all about.
anyway, important business... going away drinks at the Paddo on Sat 30th June from 3pm.

Guys thanks for the invite to your blog. We'll keep a close eye on it and live vicareously (difficult to spell!) while you're seeing the world.
Keep the photos coming - I'll do like wise, we have a few family snaps on the Harvey Norman (link to follow).
