Bodhi Villa Bungalows located in Kampot, Southern Cambodia proved to be a perfect place to chill out and meet fellow travelers. A group of nine of us spent the day caravanning to the top of
Bokor National Park. The view of Vietnam in the distance is worth the drive and if it weren’t for the unexpected storm that had us parked in their big casino for a larger part of the afternoon, we may have attempted a little trekking off the beaten path. I did however; catch a glimpse of the wild monkeys prancing on the side of the road during the descent.

If you stay here request the floating bungalow, but maybe not on a Friday night when they have their weekly party. It was a treat to have the river as my fourth wall and get rocked to sleep that night. By the way Kampot is known for their world class pepper and after experiencing it, I regret not buying a pound for home use.
