The European Hot-Air Balloon Championship was held in Magdeburg during Terry's visit. I'm not sure exactly what a hot-air-balloon competition entails. Someone told me it involves dropping things from the balloon and trying to hit targets on the ground. I'm sure an Internet search would quickly answer this question, but a lack of curiosity and time prevents me from doing so at the moment.
Anyway, you could see lots of balloons in the air around sunset each day, which was cool. Most of the photos here were taken from my apartment window. More thumbnails ...
