"Retake with Evidence" (2007), with its large empty room and large projection of actor Harvey Keitel standing before an empty background, at first sent my minimalism-appreciation neurons happily firing. But it was awful listening to Keitel drone on for minutes which seemed like days, reciting some melancholic soliloquy in a perfect monotone: "Oh site of woe, what fury hast seized thee? Wretch that I am, where art thou now? Where do I wander? Wither art thou fled? Sunk, into unutterable horrors. Detested never-ending night, the cloud of darkness thickening round beyond expression, beyond hope..."
