Ai Wei Wei's work Fairytale involves the transport of 1001 Chinese citizens to Documenta in five stages. Awaiting their arrival are 1001 wooden chairs from the Quing dynasty, spread throughout the four main venues of Documenta, and it's okay to sit on them.
