Dave and I arrived in Auckand on the 6th and hung around the city for a few days.  We went to a car auction on the 7th and scored a sweet 1984 Mazda Bongo van!  Shortly after the van picked up its awesome name, Carlton.  Dave and I checked out the Auckand museum and domain and camped out at Takapuna Beach for a couple of days waiting the arrival of Brandon, Galen, and Luke.  

When we all finally arrived, Galen, who had been in Fiji for a few days, held a Kava ceremony for us all.  After loads of dinkin' around and much planning, we got out of Auckland and set out on an awesome adventure.
