After THE WORST AND SCARRIEST train ride ever (yes even worse than the Salerno, Italy to Split, Croatia journey from last year) we arrived in Fes where the scarryness didn't stop! The men kept hagling us for places to stay and transport - we just couldn't wait to get to our hotel!
On our last full day in Morocco we went down to the old town (medina) for a day of shopping for jewellery and pottery! As per usual the men were gross but the old town was really cool with beautiful mosaic tiles and pathways. We viewed a tannery with several goat hides being dyed and lay out in the sun on straw to dry. This was probably the only really hot day we had the whole trip so we were exhausted by the end of it as the medina is built on a slope so headed home satisfied with our purchases for movie night and flight home the next day.
Note to self: don't go to a Muslim country during Ramadan again! More thumbnails ...
