Nat, her old housemate, Tessa, and Tessa's mate from back home Kristen and I headed of to Greece for just under two weeks.
Ahhh how relaxing Santorini is! It was so nice to have a sun baking holiday after constantly seeing, 'another one of those bloody churches and museums' as Tessa put it. The first day there we headed straight for the pool in our hotel then headed out for some cocktails at the beach - which were terribly lethal which then lead to killer hangovers the next day. The second day on Santorini saw us heading off with very sore heads on a day cruise around the volcano in the middle of Santorini and for a dip in the hot springs which were coloured bright brown and reeked as they are filled with sulphur. The cruise then dropped us off at Ia on the north for us to watch the picturesque sunset then head home.
Day three we suited ourselves up for a day of adventuring paired up on quad-bikes! We first got lost by Tessa's bad navigating down a goat track but eventually ended up in Red Beach for a quick dip then headed on to yummy Mexican on a cliff top over looking the water. That night we dressed ourselves up and headed an hour up north back to Ia to have wine and dinner at a nice restaurant to watch the sunset again. It was absolutely freezing on the ride back home. Our last day in Santorini and we managed to sleep in past our check out, give our bikes back late and miss our scuba diving trip we had planned for that morning. Luckily everything runs on Greek Time (somewhat similar to Fijian, Samoan, Italian time) and we weren't charged for our lateness!
