Shon goes to Dandaragan...

So while Graham was off getting wet and cold, I was busy getting a suntan. It's incredible the difference in weather. Most days were hitting 28 - 30 degrees and I only saw rain 3 times in 3 weeks.

01 - Warruga Farm

I was busy working round the house and garden, keeping the place tidy, as well as cooking and weeding. Not exactly stressful work, but kept me busy nevertheless. There's not a lot to do in Dandaragan. It only has 2 shops and no pub that I could see. I wasn't in the centre either but staying at a farmhouse about 2 miles from the village centre. So I have watched a lot of tv and saved a bit more money than Graham. If you get a chance to see a program called Kath & Kim, then watch it - it's very funny!

02 - The veranda

Had quite a lot of driving experience whilst working, including driving a ute to round up some sheep. Sheep are the stupidest animals in the world! Also went to a horse show, where a bull got out of its pen and charged towards everyone. Haven't been so scared in a long while. I also saw wild kangaroos, emus and an echidna crossing the road.

Everyone in the country seems to know everyone else, and there is a lot less crime there. You can leave houses and cars unlocked with the keys in, and you can get stuff on credit at the local stores, and ring up to have groceries delivered with the school bus on the afternoon. Marvellous!
