Went on a Wine Tasting tour today with 4 other people, and our tour guide Justin. We went to Swan Valley, which is 35km from Perth, and is one of the biggest wine production areas in Australia.
We went to 4 different vineyards and tasted about 10 wines in each place, as well as port (which by the way is the most disgusting drink we've ever tasted!) Most of the staff were very friendly and at the 2nd vineyard we sat in the middle at a picnic bench drinking wine and eating cheese, in the midday sun. Perfect!
Also had a sausage sizzler (bbq to you and I) by the Swan River. The Swan River is incredibly blue, and very clean. I passed on eating the kangaroo sausages but Graham had some - tasted like posh Sainsbury's sausages!!
After lunch, as well as the vineyards, we also went to a brewery and finished off with a visit to the chocolate factory, then made our way home. A very pleasant day out especially if the sun is shining and there isn't a cloud in the sky...
