Having only found out about Travelpod today, I've not had much time to set it all up or write about the planning stages too much. We have been planning this trip for about 3 years now, and having dealt with postponing the trip for a year due to lack of funds, house moves, job changes and other small obstacles, we can hardly believe that in 4 days we will be going!

There still seems to be so much to do yet I feel remarkably calm about the whole thing. Must start packing tomorrow! There seems to be a million and one things that I've forgotten to buy/pack. Although, as everyone keeps telling me, we can buy anything that we need whilst we're travelling.

We had a party last weekend to celebrate our impending departure. It was very good but I felt a bit sad knowing that I wouldn't see everyone for a long time. In fact, this whole week has been quite emotional - really happy and excited about going, but bursting into tears the next. Should be ok once we're on the plane though.

Just like to say a big thank you to everyone who came down for the party. Also thanks to Jill and Paul for telling me about Travelpod and helping me to set up our diary.
