All too soon, our holiday was over. Luckily in New Zealand, 2nd Jan is also a public holiday so at least we had an extra day. We made our way back to Wellington, a 4hr drive, via a stop for lunch in Carteton and a stop for some fruit and veg at one of the numerous shops at the side of the road.

Thursday and Friday, we were both at work but it was really quiet. We took our Christmas tree and decorations down on Saturday morning, but we're still getting Christmas cards from the UK. For some reason the post from the UK seems to be rubbish, or maybe it's just the time of year. On a good note, we got our police certificates in the post yesterday.

We went to an afternoon BBQ yesterday, at a guy from Graham's work's house. The weather all throughout the last couple of weeks has been really good, mid 20s most days and sunny, apart from New Year's Eve when it rained during the day.

Now the summer's here, we've decided to give running a go again. It seems to be a very popular pastime over here. We went out this afternoon and saw at least 6 other joggers out there. We must be mad, but might as well take advantage of the good weather while we can!
