This has been a week of good news to celebrate. Firstly, on Tuesday Josh Elliot appeared in the world, so congratulations to Caroline and Chris on the birth of their 2nd son. (At least we think it was Tuesday, but given the time difference over here it could have been Monday).

Also this week, Graham's cousin Marie has got engaged to Neil, and one of my uni friends Sam, has got engaged to James, so congratulations to both of you. I also forgot to mention a few weeks back that another uni friend Shirley had got engaged to Aaron, so good luck with all the wedding plans, whenever they might start!

Our news is that our application pack for our residency visa arrived yesterday, so we will be going through that and getting the necessary evidence together to submit to the immigration officers. Not sure how long it will take, but hopefully by January or February we will have our visas. Our working holiday visa that we're on at the moment is valid until August so we should have enough time to get everything sorted.

On a different note, we had our first touch rugby practice session on Tuesday evening. We're in a mixed social league which means non Transpower employees can also play in the team, so Graham is playing as well. The first match is next Tuesday! I've also played netball this week, and badminton league starts next week as well, another sport that Graham can play, as not all the leagues are just for employees.

That's all for now, we're having a quiet weekend for once...
