Today our safari ends.  We drove back to Nairobi (where it all began) for our final meal together to celebrate a successful and enjoyable 14 days bumping over roads and ditches, breathing in lung-fulls of dust and dirt, eating packed lunch boxes (only sometimes), meeting with the local Masai villagers, dodging agro elephants, buffalo, escaping from rogue hippos, enjoying special sunrises and sunsets and all the African wildlife and wilderness that we have had the pleasure and honour of being able to enjoy on this safari adventure.  And we all came out the other end alive and unscathed!!!

Nairobi - back to lots of traffic, more dusty, dirty roads, masses of people, high rises, crazy drivers... all those things you love to hate about main cities.  We passed a flash looking building which was the Panari Hotel.  It looked very impressive.  Next thing we know, we're turning and pulling into its carpark.  This was our lunch stop.  Yay - no packed lunch box!!!

Strangely enough, we went to a Brazilian Steakhouse!  It was good, the food was nice but we felt somewhat rushed as the different cuts of meat came out so fast you felt you were rushing to eat between serves.  We were due to have a few hours here but we were finished in about an hour!  There was a nice little gift shop in the hotel so needless to say I had a look.  Much to my surprise though, Reg came in a bought more than me!!!  Who said he didn't like shopping???

So from here, we were dropped at the airport.  We said our final goodbyes to our Canadian travelling companions, who have kindly offered to have us stay with them if we ever visit Canada!  Now that would be nice!!  From here, we travel to Zanzibar, where we are really looking forward to having three days full of NOTHING to do!!  This trip has been so busy and on-the-go (yet utterly amazing), we are truly ready to have a few days of rest and recuperation on a nice turquoise beach.
