Couple years ago when I arrived to UK I observed, that no missionaries should be needed in Africa, but here. Funny enough, as soon as I arrived to Kenya, I realised I was more than right.

Our family that we stayed at belog to Seventh Day Adventist church. So saturday all dedicated to the community: choir, Bible readings and discussions, and in general it is a family day. And because its on Saturday, soon memories brought me back to Israel where Sabath was more holy day.

Probably these were my first minutes that I realized that we are observed intensively. Stephen has already worked in Cambodia, so being stared at is no wonder for him. I humbly lowered my eyes, as such an intense attention for me is a challenge.

People in the church were very helpful though! I always wanted to experience that happy african worshiping that it is so different from classical european churches. Indeed, when they sing even non-believer probably gets goose-pimples...

Afternoon we joined the family back again in their local choirs concert. We had no time for listening though, as a crowd of children surrounded us immediately. Firstly - exactly the same like in the morning - kids were touching our pale hands. Soon girls became brave enough sneakily to touch my hair. "Ohh, its so soft!" exclaimed they in unison. Two thirds of them were cut very shortly, the other had very rough curls, that majority braid them into plaids or  hide it under a variety of wigs, that you can get in every supermarket in plenty. Soon I needed to kneel down as the number of hands increased and everyone wanted to try out and make something out of my loose hair.

The eyes were so beautiful, and we could not resist of making hundreds of photos!
