After couple joyful days of games and lessons in orphanage "Motherly care" to be thrown into restless Nairobi was more than a challenge for me. I just found out once again my personal truth - I am allergic to cities, where people avoid looking into eyes, as non-Nairobi-local say rushing somewhere in order to be bored, where nobody cares for nobody. And you turn into a loner, your own enemy...
Small observation: being a traveller here it is a little challenge unless you like always stay alerted, as NOBODY will give you way. Who cares about green traffic lights. You step whenever you see even the smallest crack in the flock of nonstop car torrent. Courage and constant alertness recommended as matatu won't wait!
Practicalweise: locals noticed that Nairobi has improved. Even though you are adviced to be careful, especially in the dark, otherwise the times when you would be scared to take out mobile phone of the pocket seem to be in the past.
