Stepped out into the waiting area with stiff legs after 9hour-flight and received our first visual noise. People were almost sitting on each others backs and trying to push their plates with written names. How on earth we will ever find ours? We even didnt know how Susan and John look like as we fixed the meeting only by internet - hospitality club.
Surprisingly we found them almost instantly and after joyful hellos in no time we were sitting in the car leaving noise and worries behind us. The car soon filled up with gospel sounds and I was about to nip myself "eh, girl, you are here after long dreams". Stephen and John soon exchanged jokes, and it was obvious we will get along perfectly.
The roads in the dark didn't promise anything easy. Immediately I made up my mind not even allow myself any ideas of driving. Matatus (kenyan minibuses) were sailing on the road, and even I always considered my father as a careless and crazy driver, John exceeded him. You need to be brave to compete with their risk-taking attitude.
Kikyuan dinner was already steaming on the table as Patricia and Morin (helpers of the family) prepared them beforehand. Several jokes, some initial knowledge about political situation - as it was slightly us worrying after all January events.
We laid down in our cozy african room and before sinking into dreams, I briefly entrusted all our journey into His hands.
