Another long drive today. I think this time we may have traveled some 68 miles! We have decided to stay at an RV park that we had been at last year. It is located just outside of McMinnville and in the heart of numerous vineyards. We are also next to the Evergreen Air Museum which houses the "Spruce Goose". This is a great museum if you are interested in airplanes and well worth the visit. It also has an Imax theater attached to it with a variety of airplane and space films being shown.
The RV park is quite small however the sites are all large pull thrus with ample parking for any tow vehicle.
We arrived Wednesday afternoon and set ourselves up. We decided to have dinner at the Golden Harvest Micro Brewery. Food here is pretty basic, but good. (burgers, pasta, salads, steaks, prime rib, chicken and fish) Also they have an amazing selection of different beers and ales.(Try the ten sampler tray if you go) That evening upon our return it started to rain as predicted. We tuned into the weather channel and found that there was more rain on the way for Thursday as well as the weekend.
Thursday was a lazy day for us. It was raining and windy so we both just read and I took the dogs out when required. We are hoping that the weather will improve before we go to Champoeg State Park when we visit with our friends. We will keep our fingers crossed.
Drive on Friday is only 25 miles and this state park does not have any wi-fi. Proably wont be back to the travelpod until Sunday or Monday.
