Mallard Creek RV and Golf Resort

Drive today was not very long. I think we traveled some 37 miles to our next destination which is Mallard Creek. This RV park is about 6 miles south east of Lebanon and as advertised located right next to a golf course. Sunday when we arrived there was 16 coaches in from the Salem rally. We all got together Sunday night for a sort of "happy hour" come potluck dinner. Weather was still cloudy and cool but with the promise of nicer day on Monday. We have made arrangements for golf on Monday and Tuesday.
Monday comes and the day is sunny and blue skies. We get in a round of golf and afterwords Pat and I do some exploring of Lebanon and surrounding area. The town has a population of approx 13,000 people and has a variety of shops including a Wal Mart Superstore! Main industry appears to be logging. The rivers in the area are quite high and there is some concern that if the summer ever comes that a fast snow melt could cause some problems. By the end of Monday it had become cloudy and the report for Tuesday was rain and cool temps. Not much chance of a fast snow melt!!
Tuesday came and so did the rains. Golf times were postponed and the morning spent reading and staying dry. It dried out in the afternoon and I managed to nine holes of golf in. Rain starts again in the late afternoon and through the night. On Wednesday we say our goodbyes and the group moves off to Albany. We have decided to go onto McMinnville.
This park we stayed in was nice. Sites are paved and have all the amenities. Good laundry room, washrooms and showers. Very clean! The golf course has been designed to accommodate all skill levels. Green fees are very reasonable. I would recommend this RV resort.
Wednesday morning comes and after a leisurely packing up we are ready to move up the road to McMinnville.
