Todays drive is 158 miles up the Highway 101 to the town of Florence. The day starts out with a heavy mist and cloudy with the first part of the drive going through mist and fog. This was not great as it restricted the views of the coast and oceans that we have come to enjoy. It did start to clear up a bit as we left the coast and started to get closer to Coos Bay. We stopped at the Mill Casino for a break and some lunch. We had stayed there before and it was nice to stretch and give the dogs some exercise. Pushed on after this stop up the road to Florence(another 50 miles). Patsy had done some research and we stayed at this lovely little RV park some 31/2 miles north of Florence. The park had sites that were gravel but each site had hedges on both sides which gave the feeling of some privacy. Had to do some shopping and we also took the dogs to the beach and we were able to let them run on the sand. Played ball with them and they had a great time. Also by this time the sun had come out. This was nice as by the evening, the clouds had come in and by the next morning the damp ocean mist had rolled in.
I had found a RV wash in Florence and we had decided to get up early the next morning and give Abby a wash and gas up before our drive to Salem.
We have dinner in the coach and we are into bed early. We have a short drive tomorrow as we head into Salem for our rally. (more about this event later on)
