Todays drive is not long at all. We are going to go a blistering 82 miles and then stop. We are staying at a cute little RV park just outside Susanville. It is very nicely kept, lots of grassy areas and a big area for the dogs to exercise. The drive was pretty straight forward with a small climb into the mountains. The main claim to fame for this area is that the High Desert State Prison is here and is the largest facility within the California Department of Corrections. We did not leave Reno(Boomtown) until 10:45 and we got in here around 12:30. Park has good wi-fi and I spent a good portion of the day working on the travel pod. We went into town to a place called the Black Bear diner and I ordered Bob's Big Bear Burger(3/4 lb. grilled burger patty) with the works. Very good. I would recommend this diner in Susanville.
It is getting close to the Memorial Day weekend and places to stay are at a premium, so I did some work and now have confirmed reservations at Redding for two nights and then out to the Oregon Coast for 5 nights which puts us past the weekend. It will be nice to have some down time and I hope to get in some golf and fishing.

Re your journey
Hi Mark and Patsy.......... Sounds wonderful and hope you get some fishing and golf in soon. What a great idea this is. I have never seen anything like it before. Patsy, you must be feeling better after your operation. I do hope that the pain has left you now. It's been a long grind for you. Anyway - have a wonderful time and a safe trip home. By the wsy .. I am curious to know about your second dog ? Didn't know you had added another member to the family. Tell me more ???? Love, Jean
