Well, tried to leave the Yakima Nation RV Park however while doing the routine check of the lights, brakes, turn signals etc I found that our brake lights on both Abby and Tag (that is our motorhome and our car) did not work. Again I started the process of tracing the electrical system and fuses. it took us until close to noon before we pulled out. Undaunted we pressed on with the hopes of reaching Baker City in Oregon. The weather was nice not too hot and the drive was very pretty with climbing into the Blue Mountain Range. Interesting that as we climbed we ran into snow that was right down to the side of the road. My fabulous navigator had done some reading about Emigrant Springs State Park and it sounded like a neat place to stay. Upon arrival in the park area we noticed that there was a significant amount of snow on the ground and we decided that pushing on to a lower altitude may be prudent. Given our late start out of Yakima Baker City was too far so my trusty navigator quickly did some research and we found that we could get some accommodation in La Grande. This is where we pulled in for the night.
Interesting campground with a lot of full time residents living in various assorted RV type of permanent accommodation. It was okay; had power, cable, and water. Sewer drain placement was somewhat of a challenge unless of course you were carrying a 60' sewer hose. Not!!!!
Highlight: there was a drive thru Starbucks so as a reward for my navigator I got her a huge latte!
Quite evening as this is a lonely little town and now as all electrical seems to be fixed we shall push off earlier tomorrow for Boise, Idaho.
