Day 2 and we awake to clear blue sky and we set off towards Yakima. We are going to be driving on I-80 up through Snoqualmie Pass to Ellensburg and then onto I-82 south to Yakima. The day was perfect for driving with lots of sun and we saw lots of snow on the roadside as we climbed up and through the pass. We made good time and ended up in this RV Resort located in Toppenish. Made the mistake of asking for a pull through site and we are now sitting on asphalt with no grass. It is most attractive. Now if you ask my wife trust me you will hear a different story. Frankly I have to agree with her but since we are here only for the night we will make do.

What different story? Imgine, if you will, a paved parking lot with garbage cans.  Grass can be seen in the distance but nowhere near our coach.  I refuse to go outside!!!  However, I spy a museum dedicated to the Yakama Nation and hint that all would be forgiven if we could visit it.  No response.  It is suddenly crucial that windows be washed.  This is not an auspicious beginning to Mark and Pat's Excellent Adventure!!!!!

So far we have not traveled on anything we have not seen before. tomorrow will be different as we start to get into country and roads we have not been on before.

Dogs are traveling well and seem to be enjoying and exploring new "digs" each night.

Mark and Pat's travels
I can picture you trying to use hand signals. Gave me my Sunday morning laugh. Hope you have a great day.

And you mock me!
I can hardly wait to go home tonight and tell Chris about your glamourous accomodations... I think it just might convince him to travel by coach!

Did you guys do the Wal-Mart stop? I want to hear about Dad's shopping adventures.

Dad, I missed our morning chat and imagine the next few weeks are going to be quiet in the mornings. Well, until the new job.

Love you both, Erin
