I slept late today-my leisurely day yesterday apparently reminded my body it hadn't had too much rest. Monday in Paris is like a Sunday in most other cities; most of the stores and all of the museums (except the Louvre) are closed. I went to reserve my ticket for my trip to Giverney on Tuesday and stopped by the Trecadero area to take some photos of the Eiffel Tower. I toyed with the idea of going to the Louvre but decided I was over my art attack and went toward Notre Dame instead. The cathedral was not crowded so I went inside and wandered around.
I really wanted to visit the Grand and Petit Palais that had reopened since my last visit here, but it started to rain so I headed back to the hotel and did some work on the computer. I dined at the café across the street from my hotel and had a wonderful piece of veal and some sort of molten chocolate dessert that was almost as good as the Godiva chocolate cake at Eddie V's in Austin, but not quite.
