I spent last night figuring out where I really want to spend my time.. and it's really hard because I don't have a lot of time. I decided not to book an organized group tour. They were all too restrictive and the more research I did, the more I realized that there's just so many other out of the way places I wanted to go in addition to the tourist sites.  So this is my super rough gameplan which is always subject to change!!  I wish there was more time.

June 23 - Cairo - pyramids (Cheops, Chephren, Zosser, and Mykerinus) and Sphinx
June 24 - Cairo - Egyptian museum, markets.  Overnight to Luxor
June 25 - Luxor, Valley of the Kings
June 26 - Luxor, Karnak
June 27 - Boat to Aswan, Lake Nasser, bus back up to Cairo
June 28 - Alexandria
June 29 - Leave Cairo, head to Suez, (night here?) or keep going to Sinai penninsula, (Dahab?) night here
June 30 - Head east, Mt. Sinai, to Nuweiba (Red Sea) 
July 1 - day to chill, plan shit and dare I say, shopping!? let's say "exploring the city" instead.. hah.  
July 2 - ferry crossing into Jordan via Aqaba, see the city and plan shit
July 3 - if necessary, another day to plan
July 4 - Wadi Rum (camping overnight)
July 5 - Petra and Wadi Musa
July 6 - Petra
July 7 - day trip to the Dead Sea (Bethany), bus up to Amman
July 8-9 - explore Amman, day trip to Jerash
July 10 - Bus into Syria to Damascus, via Ramtha/Der'a border crossing. explore city, book a side trip to Palmyra
July 11 - Palmyra
July 12-14 - explore Damascus
July 15 -  bus to Aleppo, transfer to bus to Antakya, Turkey via Reyhanli/Babal-Hawa xing. Continue north to Cappadocia
July 16-18 - trekking trip in Goreme? explore underground cities
July 19-22 - make way up the Aegean coast towards Ephesus
July 23 - Arrive in Istanbul

We'll see how close I actually stick to this.
