So, we've come to the other side of the world and managed to bring the British summer with us, typical. Looks like the monsoon season still has a little life left in it. It's raining cats and dogs, chickens and midgets, arseholes and elbows here. Spent last night trying to sleep through the biggest thunderstorm I've ever seen, that and around 2,000 frogs, toads, and every other amphibian in the vacinity singing along to Paul McCartney all night... either that or I've eaten a dodgy prawn along the way.

Spent our last night in Hat Yao last nigt - or Hat San as we found out, which was only a five minute walk from where we were 'supposed' to end up, which isn't bad considering we turned up in the dark. Had a meal at a great Thai/French restaurant with bits of coral hanging everywhere, the best meal we've had here so far.

So tomorrow we leave Koh Pha Ngan in search of the sun somewhere else, that somewhere else being Koh Chang, described in 'the book' as being reminiscent of the garden of eden, so we have high expectations. We're flying to Trat via Bangkok from Koh Samui tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully by Friday afternoon we'll be sitting on a beach soaking up some much needed rays and a Singha. I say hopefully, there is a good chance we might end up back in Kuala Lumpur, or Timbuktu for that matter, but if it's sunny there, I don't think we'll mind all that much. Think we'd be happy to find ourselves in Bognor Regis if there was the promise of sun.

Anyways, we're going to brave the torrential rain and find a bar to prop ourselves up in for a while before heading to a place round the corner from our bungalow to watch The Lost Boys. Ah, the thrills and spills of travelling, eh! It's only the fact we're in Thailand that's keeping us from having a Hawaiian pizza and early night....

Take it easy, and pray for sun
All our love

Peeps and Shelley

Rain
Hi there, sorry about the rain, wouldn't want you to feel homesick. Our lovely sunshine is now gales, things flying around the garden all over the place.
Hope to get for a walk tomorrow though.
Thinking about having double glazing at the back of the house, rep has just left, will keep out some of the draughts from coming in the back door.
Anyway, back to rain, wouldn't want your brollies to be a waste of money, better the rain than spiders, sorry Shelley!!.
At least you don't have to cook for 5 months, that sounds bliss, it's not the cooking. it's the thinking what to have. There's a new Thai rest in Leighton Buzzard which we are going to try sometime, not like the real thing though.
Other news, Mike check your savings account, not your bank account, email us if you can, can we do that on Yardpartners? ( Communicate )
Dad will take over now, will look up on the map as to where you are now. Love Mumxxxxx
Haven't read blog yet but assume all well - hopefully learning fast re who to trust and when to do things yourself. Keep safe and watch your belongings. I wonder if time is seemingly slow or fast? Do you feel as if you should be back at work yet!! I doubt it. Check out backpackers places carefully re exits etc. Sorry to go on!! Presume the sun will shine soon Cheers Dadxxxxx
