Hi all
Hope your all well. Sounds like the weather has picked up a bit back home. Its started to rain here again, think the monsoon season is hanging around a bit longer. Still humid though.
We finally made it to Koh Pha Ngan after a journey and a half. Boat, bus, bus, bus, minivan, ferry and finally a taxi.... got a pretty good deal this time though, which hopefully evened out the stakes. Staying in a nice place this time, amazing views over the bay and ocean. Nice to see after arriving in the dark and not knowing where we were and what to expect. Really chilled bar/restaurant/shop, however they don't speak much English, so we can try out our minimal but hopefully expanding Thai. The bar looks out over the bay and has soft floor cushions, low tables and really nice atmosphere. Very quiet, think we are only one of two couples staying here, so enjoying the peace. Its pretty quiet everywhere, there seems to be pockets where it becomes busy, so we are appreciating both.
Glad to get out of Railay Beach, enjoyed it there, but it was very busy. We had one of the best meals so far there, yummy. We swam with the fishes! A small school of fish cirlced us and before we knew it another and then another school joined. We were one with nature... although we have killed a few (big) ants and a load of mosi's along the way.
Had a bit of a boozy night on Saturday, at the Skunk Bar with a couple of the locals. One of which nearly got the sack for all play and no work, he had been given another chance by the next morning. Had a very badly made Caipivodka which blew your head off!! As well as a shot of vodka that Peeps had to have a break in the middle of drinking. Not to mention the Red Bull and Vodka buckets.... suffice to say that Sunday was a quiet one. With much mooching around on the beach, away from the Skunk Bar and anyone who might recognise us.
There are some amazing little beach huts here, still plucking up the courage to stay in one... they are open to all the elements (spiders, insects, mosi's and anything with more legs than me). Think we are going to stay here till tomorrow or the next day, will see what the weather is like before we decide.
Met a nice couple from Israel last night who had been in China for the last two and a half months. Had a drink and game of backgammon with them. They told us about some good places to go in Vietnam and Thailand. Also mentioned about a Black Moon Party in a couple of days, which we might go to Hat Rin for.
Well hope you're all well, will update soon.
All our love

Tuesday
Hi there, back home from Bellingham, had a great walk along the river, blue skies remain.
Came home this afternoon, Dad out at tennis, going to see Grandpa on Saturday, spoke to him tonight, seems ok.
Pleased to hear that you have arrived safely to your new destination, covering a lot of ground. Pleased also that you were not fleeced this time, you will learn as time goes on.
Love Mum and Dadxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
