After saying farewell to John and Jan, they were turning north at Cann River; we spoke to Trevor and Jan and arranged to meet along the road travelling north-east.  It did not take long and we were once again on the same highway in sight of each other.  The first camp we had planned to stay overnight at was in a forest rest area.  Far too small, and no sunlight for our solar panels, so after a recommendation to Jan from an attendant at the Garage, we ventured further to the small township of Genoa.

On the other side of the new bridge there is an absolute great camp spot.  In years past it had once been a caravan park.  There are still tennis courts, toilets and cold showers.  There is a donation box for the upkeep of the facilities and we were very happy to drop some money into the box.  It was an excellent spot, one night there would have been over 30 vans/motorhomes there, and the next night, it was mostly us with one or two others.

We took a walk across the old wooden bridge near the camp into the town, sadly not much left here, a few dwellings, an hotel, a closed coffee shop up for sale.    On another walk we found some fruit trees growing wild, bush lemons, peaches and apples.  Not the best condition but edible.
