Just think of any adjective you could use to describe power, and that is Niagara Falls.  Although not that tall, they are wide and the sheer volume of water coming over them with a mighty roar is just awesome!
They offered us 1/2 price off our tour if we would go over in a barrel????? Nobody volunteered, I don't know why.

We went on the Maid of the Mist, just fantastic, at times you got so wet, you felt like you were under the falls.
American falls have had some rock falls and seems to be at risk of falling some more.  The Canadian or Horseshoe falls are bigger and more fantastic.  The Bridal veil falls next to the American falls are lovely, but certainly only a little sister to the others.

We went in a cable car suspended over the Whirlpool, great view.  Funny whilst on this you were in Canada then America and back to Canada, all the while suspended over the canyon. Also went on the people mover around the sites, and to a Butterfly conservatory, very pretty, Gary would not join me for that ??not interested in butterflies.

We also went to a Dinner and Show "Oh Canada", where some very lively young performers sang and entertained us through dinner.  It was a fun night, and then back to the falls to see them lit at night.  Also Fireworks echoing down the canyon, late at night.  It had been a long drive from New York to here but soooo worth it.
