Kay's parents picked us up at 9.30am. We were brought to a restaurant for a Chinese style breakfast, popular in this country. Loads of weird things to choose from, mushy things and white bun things with meat inside! But it was different and thats what we want.....! There was a baby in the restaurant that was amazed by Sheila's freckles and kept touching her arm, either that or she was trying to tell us baby style that there was a smell off us! We landed back to Kays house which was lovely and had our showers. A couple of hours after that we found ourselves sitting down to a pad Thai, of course no room to eat a thing but it tasted pretty good, the best since we got here I would think. Kay's parents were great at practicing their English on us. Her sister Goff came home at 2pm and we headed off to see the Hot Springs about an hour outside of Krabi.
The water was 42 degrees and thats celcius people not faherenhiet! Sheila jumped in and said it was fabulous. The water is heated from the rock below, its a pure as anything.
Then for some religion we went to Tiger Cave, its a Buddhist Temple built up on top of a hill. Not any old hill this thing was nearly hitting the clouds a gazillion steps would have brought you up there! Anyway we were like celebrities going around the place. Kay's father was the governer of Southern Thailand some years back and everyone was stopping him to talk. There were a lot of wild monkeys tearing around the place. We had to watch our stuff because they snatch things out of peoples hands so we were on our guard at all times!
After this we went to MK for a Japanese dinner, you can cook your own stew there you have a hot plate on the table and you order what you want, Kays dad made us fish stew and we had duck and green noodles for started and it was lovely! Then out of the blue the waitresses broke into dance.I think Kay's dad and sister were just as surprised! We went to the airport after that and picked up Kays brother Ken and his wife Mai and their baby. The baby is the cutest ever.
