Not what I expected after my morning coffee... A woman wanders round the pool asking if people are English. I put my habd up and it turns out she is Andrea Burns WA Channel 7's Today Tonight. Four Brits incl. me are then interviewed on their thoughts on daylight saving time. I've been here 18 hours and I'm going to be on televison in WA next week. Wow.
Through interview I meet Matt amongst others, who works at the hostel. And from there I know people and he goes out his way to give advice on what to do whenever I bump into him. The hostel have a very good guy working for them.
Later I visit the botanical gardens at King's Park and am suitably wowed by the boabs, the treetop walk and the water garden. Folowing a coffee I head back to the hostel.
I get talking to Fabio and Chun Peng, two students from the neighboring language school, and from that I've got a night set up in Northbridge. We meet at 10.40pm, get some beer from the bottle shop to drink by the pool and then we head into town. We visit The Deen and Mustag (both free entry and both quite loud). In fact Northbridge is like Maidstone on a Friday night but on steroids. We roll back 3am still quite sober as we don't want to buy too much beer. Can't afford it.
