So we left Morocco around 10 days ago. While we were sick in Fes we asked the guy running the place we were staying at where would be good to see in Spain. He suggested Seville and Grenada, and that was good enough for us. We left Chefchouin in Morocco at around 8.30am and 3 hours later we had finished travelling the 100kms to Tangier! In the bus driverīs defence we were driving through some mountains and stopping every couple of kms to pick up or drop off the locals... We walked from the bus station to the ferry in Tangier (managing to get ripped off along the way) and just missed the ferry and so had to wait another hour and half at the port. This put is in real danger of missing the last bus to Seville and stress ensued for the next couple of hours while we waited and made the 40 minute crossing back into Europe. We arrived in Tarifa in Spain with 20 minutes to get off the ferry, clear customs, get some Euros, and find the bus station. There was two lines to enter Spain, 1 for EU people and 1 for everyone else including the dodgy Moroccans and us. We waited and pushed and made it through, then started walking blindly into town, stopping for directions in Spanish and to get some money. We ran the last 100m and made it, just!

We spent 4 nights in Seville at a good hostel with A POOL! They ran nights where we went out with everyone for tapas and a flamenco show (staring a masculine woman looking like Steven Segal in drag), and an in-house paella night which was great. We got out of the pool and the hostel on the last day there and seen some of the city. Then we made our way to Granada and did the same without the pool. We seen the Alhambra (a big muslim castle/palace/fort/gardens) which was ok. The place in really hyped up and apparantly people line up for hours from 6 am for tickets. We managed to get some online otherwise we wouldnīt have bothered.

Then we came to Valencia. Yesterday was the tomato fight (La Tomatina), and we ruined some clothes while throwing tomatos and being crushed in the crowd. Lisa fell over at one stage and things looked grim, but a couple of nice people helped and we managed to save her. Lisa also ended up with a sore (possibly broken) toe and is looking for sympathy. Please email your support for this worthy cause. There is a movie below, so check it out. There was also TV cameras there so there will some news footage on the net if you do a search.

*** Beard Update ***
The beard is still being clipped and the chin area in being left to grow to its full potential. Length is at around an inch, maybe just over.
***End Beard Update***

Now we are still in Valencia for the rest of today and fly to Rome tonight. More to come...
