We spent an afternoon at the beer fest, Jarrads been before but I am a Oktoberfest virgin. Everyone is pretty well behaved at its great to see little kids right through to the grandparents taking part. All the pissed idiots are confined to the tents, but everyone is well behaved. The Germany police...never seen anything like it - very strict and tons of them! We stopped and watched them managing the crowd and taking a few young guys away. They weren't impressed with a guy wearing a " All cops are Basgtards" T-shirt. Actually we had our own German police experience...we got pulled over and searched and had a report taken as Jarrads lisence expired. Wasn't a drama, but they were very by the book
On a more somber note we visited Dachau Concentration Camp - only about 15 minutes by train from the centre. It was the model camp for the rest in Germany during World War 2. Hard to know what to say about atrocities that were committed there.
Weather is getting bit colder here - we have been using the Thermal pool here - 13 degrees outside but 29 in the pool, swimming around in the steam is fun. Ive just been doodling about but Jarrad has been training hard. He is racing a few cross country races around Czech and came in a fast 2nd on Sunday.
Yesterday we went to Prague again to sort out Jarrads lisence at the Consulate. Its a magical city and still quite full of Tourists for this time of year.
As for me I am not a fan of the cold, I head back to Sydney on Thursday, but I hear the weather isn't all that flash! Jarrads here till early November before heading to Malaysia for Powerman on the 8th on the way home. He's now in charge on the travel pod.
See you Sydney siders soon
