We did what most tourists do and sat at the main square, it started raining so we took refuge in one of the main cafes and paid around $12 each for our cappucinos, actually bad overpriced coffee is becoming quite a theme of the trip. Jarrad is still feeling violated from the bill, but said it was the best cup of 'piss' he has had.
Visited the castle which has amazing views of the city. The church is the oldest ancient one in the world but we couldn't face the overwhelming huge lines and bad fashion. Although we took a look a the exhibition which dated right back to prehistoric times
The city sleeps till quite late so when we went for a run in the morning it was like having the streets to yourself. Because we were there over the weekend it was pretty busy. Quite fun hanging out on the Charles Bridge listening to all the different languages. It was pretty interesting seeing how much $$ the beggars make an hour. Thomas the guy we are staying with says the good ones can earn up to 30,000.00 KC per month.
Have developed a taste for Beef Goulash and dumplings. Thomas's grandmother continues to feed us constantly and has just delivered sugar and cinammon coated pancakes for breakfast! Although we are off to London tomorrow on a mission to find some wheels. So will be living...and eating like travellers.
There is a triathlon in Germany on 12 July so that is our next scheduled place but sure there will be a few pit stops before then.
Cheerio for now
