I just went to my first concert at Ironstone Winery in the historic gold rush town of Murphys, CA this past weekend to see Jason Mraz.  What a beautiful venue!  It was a warm summer night, everyone had smiles on their faces, the beer and wine was flowing, and the atmosphere couldn't have been more inviting.  It's a medium-sized amphitheater with the usual section of assigned seating in front, but I always prefer the lawn area for outdoor concerts.  It's much more of a summery, relaxed atmosphere for me.  There was plenty of lawn space for chairs and blankets so we didn't feel cramped at all, and there were many booths close-by to purchase fair-style food, beer and wine.  It was a perfect evening under the stars!  I can't wait to go back next summer!

I had visited Ironstone winery a few weeks prior during a day of wine tasting in the little downtown of Murphys, and wanted to stop by to check the place out since I had bought tickets for the upcoming Jason Mraz concert.  I had already had my share of tasting for the day, so we didn't try any of the wines, but we did walk around to check out the grounds.  The place is beautiful, surrounded by colorful flowers and mature trees, it's a little slice of heaven tucked in a little corner of the world.  I couldn't wait for the concert!
